The 9th edition of the 2023 Responsible Innovators Award promoted by Emilia Romagna Region, recorded excellent participation with 80 projects admitted from across the region, promoted by companies of all sectors and sizes, social cooperatives, professionals, schools and training centers.
Emilia-Romagna Region intends to enhance the commitment of the entrepreneurial system which, in coherence with the Charter of Principles of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Region, contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, taking on a sustainability integrated vision, through the innovation of processes, systems, partnerships, training actions, technologies and products.
“DESIGNING CIRCULAR FUTURE” is the title of the Project that we presented by choosing among the 4 strategic goals indicated in the “Pact for Work and the Climate” the one called “REGION OF KNOWLEDGE AND KNOW HOW” adding best practices also referring to the GED Award “Gender Equality and Diversity” for the best projects relating to actions for equal opportunities and to the “YOUZ” Award for initiatives that provide professional development paths for young people capable of accelerating their career paths.
We are proud that our project won the “GED – GENDER EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AWARD”, assigned during the ceremony held on Nov 29 in Bologna at the Fondazione Golinelli, with the motivation:
“GHEPI is a production company that has invested in technical skills without neglecting the contribution of gender, involving Female Students of #STEM disciplines in the development of more sustainable productions”.
The Project began with a #Hackathon, intended exclusively at Engineering and Industrial Design Female Students, consisting of two challenges aimed at identifying solutions to design and produce more sustainable and circular products with polymeric materials thanks to the structural lightweighting that allows to reduce CO2 emissions. It then continued with a DesignThinking course for all the Students and curricular internships for two of them.
At GHEPI the role of women has always been encouraged and valued, at all levels. For this reason, the GED Award takes on the meaning of confirmation and recognition of a specific corporate management style.
